1. Her mom owns a bakery shop in downtown Newark, New Jersey. Kat’s favorite treat is her mom’s pineapple cheesecake!

1. At 15, Kat entered a Coca-Cola-sponsored karaoke competition and won it, singing “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. Her favorite karaoke song nowadays is “The Power of Love” by Celine Dion, especially since the lyrics are written in both English and Spanish.

1. Her ultimate prom date would be Edward Cullen from Twilight. “I fell in love with his character in the movie,” she said. “I love vampires now!”

1. Kat’s on Twitter (@katdeluna) and her favorite person to follow is an old man who is a big fan of hers and writes her every morning.

1. The high ‘do in Kat’s new press shot was inspired by the songs on her upcoming album. “It stands out just like the beat and energy!” she told us.

She’s been collecting porcelain dolls since the fifth grade. “I have like 50,” she told us. “I just don’t buy them on a spree; there has to be something special about them, or they’re given as a gift. It all started when I fell in love with this porcelain doll in a secondhand store — she must have been like 50 years old! I made my mom buy it. She’s my favorite, and her name is Alondra. I named her after a Spanish soap opera!”

1. Her lunch today: green beans with avocado, eggplant sautéed in garlic, with mango as dessert. Yummy and healthy!

Hello Everyone

Great News!! Finally, my official brand new single from my sophomore album titled “Inside Out” is soon to be released, and I think you guys are going to love it!

I can’t reveal the title of the song just yet, but sometime this month the song will be premiered here, on my myspace page.

The song is in both English and Spanish. There will also be a competition where dancers will have the chance to upload a video with their hottest dance moves onto YouTube! I will then look at the best submissions and pick the one with the hottest moves. The winners will have a chance to appear in the music video with me!!!
I can’t wait to see your guys’s moves, get ready to SAMBA!!!

According to her MySpace Blog Kat Deluna speaks candidly about her upcoming double album Inside Out. How are you guys? Long time no speak. Taking this moment to talk a little bit about the album and keeping you guys up to date.

Inside Out is a double album in Spanish & English where I am bringing to life the both sides of Kat Deluna. Sometime next week my next pop single will be revealed as well as the Spanish first Single.

I have been very busy in studio creating this masterpiece to bring to you guys. As the world is facing real hard times right now, people need good music to life their spirits and keep them going.

The Spanish Album will have 8 to 10 songs and the English Album 12 songs. It’s truly a great album… which does contain non auto tune tracks, I am singing on this record! What you’ve heard so far is not “Inside Out” in it’s entirety. The album has great ballads a lot of dance tracks no auto tunes guys! lol! I know a lot of my fans started going crazy, no Kat your voice is so beautiful why auto tunes? And I read all the comments because I do care about you guys that support my music. So I just wanted to clarify that

I also want to start this contest through my personal email where I want all the women and men around the world to write me and tell me what their definition of “A real Man” is.

My next single might be a song called “Real Man”. It has been confirmed today by Radio Trade publications FMQB and Mediabase that Kat’s new single featuring Lil’ Wayne, “Unstoppable” will be going for adds at US Radio February 24, 2009!

Pop singer Kat DeLuna, who left Epic Records last October, has found a new home at Universal Motown, label reps confirm. She is scheduled to release a new, as-yet-untitled single featuring Lil Wayne in the coming weeks.

In a YouTube video posted for New Year’s, DeLuna states the single is “a little bit different, but crazy,” and that the sophomore album will be coming in 2009. RedOne, who produced DeLuna’s debut album, “9 Lives,” has confirmed he will be re-teaming with the Dominican artist. “She is the new, modern-day Selena,” Red One told Billboard.com a few months ago.

“9 Lives” has sold 65,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen soundscan. Its lead single, “Whine Up,” featuring Elephant Man, peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
