Have you ever experienced difficulties in finding an appropriate wallet to your unconventional taste? Or maybe you enjoy making things on your own? Then you’ve got to the right page. Spend some five minutes and learn how to make duct tape wallets step by step.
- Wallet body
Step 1. Cut two duct tape strips of equal seize (up to 220 mm). Put one strip on the flat surface with sticky side up and cover one half of its length with the second strip, placing the sticky side down. The other part of the second piece will stick to the work surface.
Step 2. Cover the second strip with the remaining part of the first strip. Now you have one sticky half of the second strip uncovered. Stick the third duct tape strip to it, so that the second part of new strip is stuck to the surface again.
Step 3. Continue prolonging the body of your wallet in the same way. You may stop when its length reaches at least 180 mm (plus a sticky end). Fold the loose edge over and сut the edges to make a rectangle sheet.
Step 4. Fold the sheet in a half length and tape both inside pasts to form a pocket. Thus, you know how to make a duct tape wallet with pockets. The first pocket you have made will be used for storing bills.

- Internal side (designing pockets)
Step 1. Use the same method than in the first step for body and create 40 to 95 mm sheet. It will be one of ID card pockets. Remember to make it slightly narrower than one side of your wallet body.
Step 2. Repeat previous step to make a necessary number of card pockets. For example, create 3 of them for the left and the right halves of the wallet.
Step 3. Put all card pocket sheets one over the other leaving some space between them. Arrange them in such a way that your cards do not jut out from the pockets. Use a duct tape string to glue together all edges of pockets to the wallet body.
